Hell Dörmer

About Me

The name’s Hell Dormer. It’s a nod to the place downstairs and some kind of old fashioned window. Regardless of that, the music is good, hard rock ‘n’ roll.
It all goes back to the year 2002 when a band suddenly appeared after a drummer and a guitar player had crossed paths. Espen Løken and Bendik Aune quickly started the process of completing the line-up, and at the end of the year, Ulrik Løsch Danneborg had become the voice of the gang. A few months later Espen Bergersen was recruited on bass.
There’s nothing new about the line-up with a singer armed with his voice alone, but it proved itself to be very powerful. Attention was given to the band, and it proved to deliver good and energetic concerts that your mind refused to let you forget. The first demo, “Grave of Time”, appeared in the fall of 2003 and gave a good impression of what the band was all about. In 2004, the next demo, entitled “Satan’s Toy”, was released, and it continued where the first one left off.
After these two releases, the band knew that it was necessary to make a record which could give an impression of the stirr they created live. So in the spring of 2005, they went into the studio again. The line-up went through a slight change around this time. Jonas Dilba took over the guitar, Espen Løken became the bass player. In the studio the recording went along really well, and the record was released by the band themselves in the fall of the same year. “Cemetery Blues” was the title, and it received positive attention from a lot of people. The record was distributed intensely, and this led to quite a few gigs in the following year.
It was good times. The gigs were frequent and the band became experienced. In the spring of 2007 they decided to enter the studio once again. Now was the time to take that big leap ahead and make a full length record. They were on a mission to make an album that would conquer the world, or at least most of it. That’s how “Space Age Rocket Rage” came along.
This record consists of ten songs that shouldn’t be underestimated by anyone. It’s good, hard rock ‘n’ roll. The songs both stand out on their own and make the record a complete experience. It’s obvious that we borrow wherever there’s something to find, and Motörhead, Ramones, Black Sabbath and Mötley Crüe all deserve a toast.
The line-up as of today is Ulrik Løsch Danneborg on vocals, Espen Løken on bass, Jonas Dilba on guitars and Bendik Aune on drums.
