About Me

I'm using this page really to keep in touch with people I actually know and to put up some work in progress demos this year. When I want to advertise something new I'll make a new page. But if you've stumbled across my page and like what you hear - welcome and feel free to drop me a line! For something a bit more rocking check out my old FAKE RAY page - see friends below.
John.... also known as Fake Ray and singer/guitarist with Malluka.
Diaspora from the North East of England - a new chapter led me to form the band Malluka in London. We were signed to Fierce Panda records by the eminently sensible Simon Williams. Records, gigs and tours with bands like New Model Army, Hundred Reasons, HIM and Gary Numan followed and things were looking up. It's the music biz.. remember...so the band split ! I set about forming Fake Ray. We played with bands like ... Arctic Monkeys , All About Eve and other bands that don't begin with A as well. We went on to release a couple of singles that graced the airwaves, and recorded a mini album that was due for US release but never came out. La de da.
And here I am now - still kicking - check out Sometimes You. SY was co-written with the late great John Wallis. He should be singing this.
For now also enjoy 'Genevieve' , a Malluka demo that was never released.
John Lennon said "All we can do is send out messages and postcards: here's what it's like for us; what's it like for you?".
