So here's the story:
- For two years, Platforms Magazine was an online publication of quality prose, poetry, art, articles, music and photography. We were pretty cutting edge.
- We decided we had enough of the virtual and that it was time to release a physical issue. What we didn't know was that it was also time for the entire financial system to collapse.
- We finished a killer first issue. Highlights include art by Bat For Lashes, interviews with Diane Cluck, Joanna Newsom and Death Cab for Cutie and original poetry from Scroobius Pip and Laura Dockrill.
- Companies had no money to buy advertising and so the issue sits snugly on our computers. Waiting to see the light of day.
- So, equally inspirerd by Radiohead and by this newly elected American president guy, we set up a donations website. Encouraging you, the people, to own a bit of the magazine for as much as you like. Any donation will get you a free copy when the issue is eventually released.
If you are kind enough to donate:
- We love you.
