About Me

[ENGLISH]
Miriam Manzanares plays rhythm guitar and composes the melodies that she later sings with that oh so slightly jazzy style. Matt Green (a more or less legal immigrant, originally from Sheffield, Yorkshire) is a frustrated novelist who writes the lyrics and "also plays drums", while David "The Sundance Kid" García plays fast and clean lead guitar (with a bluesy tendency that makes me think of Peter Green) and bassist extraordinaire and "international man of mystery" (rumoured to be from Leeds) Chris “Mustafaster” Hannan holds it all together and rips it all apart at exactly the same time. HAVANA MOON recorded their debut CD, "Sandman", in 2006, and have just released a follow-up, "Rapunzel" (April 2008). After the first album they did a bunch of interviews on the radio and appeared on local TV playing songs from "Sandman", and in June 2007 the band played in the final of the "Music in the Campus" competition at the University of Cantabria, and then rounded off the "A solas con..." ("Alone with...") program in Santander's premier pop/rock club "Buenas Noches Santander", and this year's return performance (in April) became the official presenation of the new CD. The first video is from an interview with Nico in Cantabria TV's "Musica al Grano", and that's followed by the "Fast Forward" video (from "Sandman") and then a rough and ready recording of David's first gig with the band, way back in Spring last year...

Rapunzel lets down her hair (or does she?)

David decided that instead of sleeping in April, he'd mix/master the new CD.  Some might say that since most of the band finished recording soon after Christmas he has taken his time.  ...

Who am I?

I woke up this morning And I didn't know where I was But that didn't matter I asked myself the usual questions: Who is my enemy today? And why do I hate him? Is he a different colour? Does he go to hi...
