The Brunels. A band. A mystery to many. A gang of young men making music.

As a couple of top ranking A&R record execs once said to us, if we could be bothered to get off our arses and work hard, we'd rule the world. Sadly, we spent most of our time in the pub. Inevitably, the band is no more.

A smashing time was had. Played at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. Nearly got signed. Alas, 'twas not to be. To everyone who came to see us, gave us money, jeered, heckled, bought us beer, drove us to and from gigs and rehearsals or anything else we say.... Thankyou and goodnight.

Influences: birds, ex-birds, shit jobs, blow jobs, drugs, women, whisky, sick, teenage crushes, bermondsey, deptford, new cross, greenwich, other parts of south london, shanklin/the isle of wight, school, the dole, death, hangovers, panic attacks, anxiety, sobriety, backfires, crushes we still have in our twenties, the first time, poker night, really bad songs we wrote years ago, millwall, tits, pro evolution soccer, our frazzled minds, cities, towns, beaches, holiday romances, holiday punch-ups, failed romances, council flats, the pub, people in the pub, christmas, weddings, beer, benson and hedges (silver), vague memories of stuff we cant accurately remember, anyone who's ever made an impression on us (good or bad)... space, the final frontier... money, lack of money, and the telly.
