Soap Box Preachers is the brain child of Mike Carter (guitar/vocals). Mike has been with the bands, Un-decided, Empty Cell, Formula-86, The Unkown, and Ignorance is Bliss. None of those bands amounted to anything. He then formed Soap Box Preachers with bassist Ian Norregarrd, and drummer Steve Miller. After months of practice in a small practice room in the Plainview High School choir room, they finally had their first song. Just then Steve had to leave the band for un-disclosed reasons. He was replaced by Thomas Bartz. The band set to work on some new songs. Mike was all ready working on a solo album (which became On the Inbetween) for a senior project. Mike had written all the track for the cd and the band started to work on those. In the bands short lived career they only played to live shows. After the end of Mike's and Thomas' senior year, the band split up due to Mike's work schedule, Ian having another year of high school, and Thomas heading off to college. The band was also not getting along any more so they decided to call it quits. But seeing as how Mike had dome everything on the and for the cd, he kept the name of Soap Box Preachers and kept all the material in his name because he had made all of it. He does acknowledge Ian's, Thomas' and Steve's time in/with the band. Mike is still a solo artist working on songs that sound like they've come from a full band. He's currently working the his next cd "To Washington with Love." No release date given.Tickle Me Emo | Send To Friends | Flash Cartoon Movies at JibJab
