About Me

Singer, songwriter, bassist, guitarist, and piano man...25-year-old Derock Tucker has been performing to critical acclaim since the age of 10 when he started off as a classical bassist. His idiosyncratic blend of styles runs the gamut from rock to jazz, pop to classical, folk to ska.
Influenced by artists as diverse as John Coltrane and Elliott Smith, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Foo Fighters, No Doubt and Radiohead, Derock attributes his musical success to the years spent refining his talent at USC and Long Beach Poly High School.
Derock has over 50 original songs in his repertoire and is currently preparing material for a debut album. He was recently featured as an artist on The Mick Presents courtesy of Jonny The Mick and Casey Keirnan at Guerrilla Angle Productions.
Derock continues to support other artists by performing as an instrumentalist and singer. He also teaches at Whittaker Music (located near CSULB).
