About Me

The Son of Rock and Roll/ Jazz/gospel pianoist Gerald "Jerry" Williams who toured with Duke Ellington and attended Julliards the school of music, birth his last born who would soon to take over his legacy in 1982. Years later after the lost of his father to cancer, Al Chauncy put all his pain and emotions into his music. Joining a Super rap group called Bloodline at the age of 16 embarked the career movement to do music full time. As a uprisng football athlete, Chauncy told his coach in the middle of the football season that music was his destiny and retired his helmet and cleets. Taking trips to New York, Jersey, Philly and Texas throughout his Senior year of High school really motivated the young MC.In 2000 a deal was on the table with The group Bloodline through Priority Records, but due to the merge with Capitol, The group Bloodline went unnoticed and well forgotten. After triumphful struggles and failure to get a deal, the group Bloodline disbanded and left Al Chauncy no choice but to embark on his solo career. He Then created a chemistry with the producers of Bloodline (Kuntry and Savage) and gave them the name The Super Entertainerz and also co-founded EMG LLC. with Barry Savage. The Three produced Al Chauncy's first album "The Breath of Mine" that never saw the light of day due to the lack of vision from A&R's at Competitive labels. In 2006 Al Chauncy stepped out on his own and created his own imprint Song King Music Group, and hustled to get his music career running in the right direction by dropping a local anthem called "I'm From Raleigh Hoe" . This single buzzed throughout the Carolinas and brought great notoriety to the City of Raleigh; and Al Chauncy was appointed The name Mayor of Tha South from local fans. This Buzz caught the ear of Record label Owner and Legend P.U.G Flava of P.U.G Records and created an instant partnership after just one meeting. The partnership lead to The beginning of MEET THE MAYOR AL CHAUNCY'S debut album.Through all the hard work and pain, and the lost of both parents in the struggle while conquering his music success, Al Chauncy is here to present you with the best voice in hip hop.
