About Me

I'm so sorry that I haven't updated this in a while. I'm a 29 year old Wisconsin Army National guard soldier that has gone through quite a lot for the past couple of years. I was a resident at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. for approximately a year. I was the only casualty of a rocket attack on July 4, 2006. I received an amputation of my left leg below the knee, a shattered elbow. numerous soft tissue wounds and a stroke due to blood loss when my carotid artery was slashed by shrapnel. I have received my disability rating from the army and here it is...... 100% oh yeah. Now just waiting on a call to set up my final trip to fort knox to get retired from military service. I'm still going to serve my comrades and my country by speaking about my experiences and especially the NEADS Canines for Combat Vets program. Since October of 07 the NEADS board members attribute a quarter of a million dollars in donations to my testimonials at VFW conferences and private fundraisers. Dace, my service dog is the best friend I've ever had. She picks me up, literally and figuratively and she knows when my post traumatic stress disorder is going to rear it's ferocious head. If you would like to know more or contribute to the fund, go to www.neads.org, of the donations received, 100% go to combat vets and the training of their partners for life. They are also 100% appreciated. $250,000. sounds like quite a bit, but when it takes ten thousand to twenty thousand per partnership it goes quickly. Our goal now is to have enough funding to build a combat vets home right on NEADS campus specifically for wounded soldiers to train and build their relationships up with their dog. Coming up on my second anniversary (I consider it reborn on the fourth of July) I have to say that that day was the most traumatic of my life, but every day since has had a much sweeter taste. Life is a blessing, I might be sounding cliche but fuck it. I love you all and may the force be with you. HUBDIZZLE

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I've been very fortunate with the celebrity schmoozing as of late. This past weekend the entire family got to meet Tedy Bruschi of the New England Patriots. He is the onle NFL player to suffer a stroke a come back to play again, and dominate in every performance. My nephew and I went LA to the Star Wars Celebration IV (the 30th anniversary of A New Hope is this year). I was fortunate enough to meet Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Ray Park (Darth Maul), Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett and every single clone trooper), Daniel Logan and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) Daniel was one of the nicest kids ever, he gave me is one of kind 501st legion nameplate. It was hands down the best trip I've taken in my life. Nothin' but geeked out awesomeness. All of the celebrities I met were very enthusiastic about coming to visit the soldiers here at Walter Reed during the summer, so I've been granted the role of ambassador of the Star Wars universe and the soldiers that love it. I'll kep you posted as to when they will be coming. HUBDIZZLE
