Brooklyn native Mr.Scorsese, was introduced to hip hop in the early 80’s. He began his fixation for the art form at the early age of 7 years old, when he saw the video “Rock Box†by Run DMC. Around that time, he began admiring different artists such as, Whoodini, Doug E Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew, Treacherous Three, Curtis Blow, just to name a few. By the late 80’s Mr.Scorsese, was a full fledged HipHopper; at that time he decided he wanted to be a part of the hip hop culture. With artists on the horizon such as Kool.G.Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, EPMD, Eric B and Rakim, Special Ed, Ice T, and NWA, Mr. Scorsese was convinced that hip hop was where he needed to be.At this time in his life, Mr.Scorsese had no interest in being an artist, he was more interested in the behind the scenes work that it takes to build a song; DJing and the production of a track was his main focus. He started researching the DJ’s and producers in hip hop that were making a big name for them selves, looking at people like DJ Cash Money, Herbie Luv Bug, DJ Scatch, Eric Sermon, DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Large Professor, DJ Marley Marl, Pete Rock, Easy Moe Bee, Howie Tee, and Diamond D, they were all influences in Mr.Scorsese’s early stages of wanting to be a DJ and Hip Hop producer.Fast forward to the present, Mr. Scorsese Is about to release one of the greatest independent hip hop albums of all time, titled “Revenge Or Mercyâ€. This journey has been a long time coming for this young entrepreneur, who plan on making history for his unique brand of pure hip hop music. Mr. Scorsese speaks on this by saying “Hip Hop isn’t something you do, it’s something you liveâ€. This journey in becoming a house hold name in the music business has its share of difficulties, but from the look of Mr. Scorsese’s work ethic, he seems to be up for the task,NOW & FOREVER…..
