“LOOK WHAT I HAVE”

Today is Sunday and we are going to church, just like any other Sunday. While we are getting dress I put in the new gospel CD you love so much that we bought yesterday. I’m in the mirror, you in the mirror. Making sure we look our best. I get dress first and drive to the nearest corner store and get us some cappuccino. When I arrived back at the house, you are coming downstairs looking as if you were an Angel coming from heaven, and me smiling knowing that you were all mines. So I walked you over to the passenger door and hold the door open for you, and I get in. .. Now we are on our way to church, I have the gospel CD from the house, in the car. So we conversed a little, laugh a little. People ride by us and stare and smile at us, because we are perfect together. We arrive at Church. As the Pastor preaches he speaks on things that I know I really need to do. As I’m listening I hold your hand just for assurance. The message is about loving your mate, and keeping ..GOD in both of your lives. That no matter what might seem to be hard for you, GOD would not put more on you that you can bear. Just to hear him preach and with you right there by my side, I felt a tear drop down my face. I thought to myself “I didn't want to need you, but after I saw your face, I've never stopped thinking about you. I could not imagine life without you, because even heaven-sent angels would be unable to replenish the spark of life in my soul.” I feel you give me a tissue to wipe my face. I think to myself that I can’t believe that I’m crying. But while wiping my face I hear you whisper to me “baby it’s alright, I feel your love for the LORD, and I will be with you until the end” We hold our hands even tighter. After the Sermon they play the live version of Fred Hammond’s “No Weapon” ..As the song plays it seems like GOD and you on my side I could accomplish anything. The Pastor stands up after the song plays and people around us are celebrating GOD. He asks if anyone would like to give there life to GOD, and that if you don’t have a church home come on down, and to gather your things and come on down, and start your life now with Jesus. I heard people clapping and when I open my eyes I was standing in front of the Pastor, giving my life to Christ. I look around and you were right there beside me. Tears swelled in my eyes. I thought to myself the three of us, “God, you and I” we will ride this thing until the end.
