About Me
With all the music thats out now (rap music) it seems as if hip-hop has died. A lot of studio thugs, studio drug dealers, studio killers, studio pimps, studio players, DANCE SONGS (SO MUCH OF THAT S**T, I’M SO TIRED OF THAT). Out of Alabama, born and raised, comes one of the last emccs alive. He goes by the name of J-EA$Y. J-EA$Y was born March 16th 1986 at 10 pounds 8 ounces (i kno, kinda big rite). His parents (Sandra Moore & Calivn Jordan) wasn’t married at the time. Growing up was kind of rough to him but as u can see he still made it through. Throughout school and life as a whole, he wasn’t accepted by a lot of people, never in the in-group as he say. Most of the reason to him was because a lot of girls didn’t think he was attractive, dudes didn’t think he was cool, he never had a lot of the name-brand clothes or shoes, and on top of all that, his parents was kind of strick. After he dealed with it for years, he gained a great love for music, HIP-HOP (NOT RAP) and R&B (old school R&B at that). Since he was at home most of the time, all his mom used to play a lot was old school R&B and Hip-Hop was in in a major way during that time. His love for music got so deep that he started to write hisself (this was at athe age of 7). Listening to some of the hot emccs and hip-hop groups during that time (Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Biggie Smalls, Mase, Wu Tang Clan, Timbaland and Magoo, Mc Lyte, Missy, Common) he lerned that a lot of they sucess came from them not worring about how other people seen them. So he toke that in for hisself as his own defense. He had his first performance at 13 at a local talent show and right after that he started freestyling on radio stations (became one of the hottest freestylers in da area). He recorded his first song at the age of 16 and it became a hit in a weekend. Some years after that, he formed his first group (Dangerous Minds which later became Payback Family) and came out with the smash hit "Count Off." He won a lot of talent shows with that song. He won his first major contest (The BET Black College Campus Tour at Alabama State University) in the fall of 2005 and in Decemeber finished his first mixtape (Bout Time Da Champ Is Here Vol. 1). Since then, its been a none stop road to the top. He says his main goal at this time is to brang Hip-Hop back with everything he can, especially in the south. He recently hooked up wit S.L.E. (Street Lyfe Entertainment) as their latest artist. Since then its been nothing but buisness. The buisness of being one of if not the biggest movements in Alabama. He’s been called names such as Da Micrula, Da Icon, Da Showstoppa (WAY BEFO DAT SONG CAM OUT), Da Main Event, Da Fire Spita, Da Truth, U.T. King (Uniontown, his hometown), Upcoming Alabama King, Freestyle Masta, Da Champ, and DA S**T. But the name everybody knows him by is J-EA$Y................
