Sam Perez

Sam Perez grew up in Washington playing music at a young age. He started playing the drums when he was at age five, picked up the bass at thirteen, then just recently picked up piano and guitars. Sam grew up playing in many churches around the Yakima Valley and continues to play for his home church Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, a Calvary Chapel of Toppenish, where he helps with worship. Later, Sam started a band called Newnature which later left it to call it quits. After the band, Chad Turley, aka Phat CAT, entered the studio for his second release Christian Rap project "Behind the Mask" and asked Sam to be a part of it. The album is still in the making and will be out soon! Sam also had the privilege of being a guest vocalist at Cat's shows along with sharing the stage with Smooth of K2S. Sam has also filled the spot as a music advisor for CAT working with Smooth a DOVE Award nominee for the song "After the Rain". During the process of recording, Sam joined a band from Tacoma called Innerveil in August of '05 and played many shows with them. Sam had the privilege of sharing the stage with bands such as Stutterfly, Kane Hodder, Coretta Scott, Secret Lives of the Freemason, The Myriad, and many others...Times were enjoyable but sometimes God asks you to do something of HIS will and not ours! So, Sam parted from the group May 27th 2006 and God lead him in the direction of making a solo project which is now in the making and being written as well. Sam is going to be producing his album on his own as well as doing some other studio work at Eternal Destiny Studios with Chad Turley (Phat CAT). Sam wants to show a different side to himself that he never was able to show being a part of different projects. So, what's to come is all that Sam has to offer! The Album will be called "Tonight, Maybe Tonight" and will be released sometime late 2007. Thanks for your support and we will keep you posted on the project.
