Hi... and welcome to the Bench Connection... the best place to sit on MySpace!
The Bench Connection are acoustic duo Chris Sheehan and Matt Deighton... and when touring schedules allow, Mike Rowe or Bevis, and Tim Weller or Julia Thornton.The first BC record, 'Around The House In 80 Days' is OUT NOW in all good record stores and online; with the second single (Stainless/ Behind The Lights) out early April.
It's all been a bit of an accident as both of us were in the process of doing other records - Chris's solo, and Matt's one with Chris Difford - but it's all kind of come out of it's own will. (In Matt's words, we accidentally ended up with 'songs all over our trousers'.) So we hope you like some of them and enjoy them as much as we've enjoyed doing them!
The album features some amazing and talented people who have played with us out of their own kindness - other than the afore mentioned Mike, Tim and Julia: Sarah Brown (and Queenie), Lucy Wilkins, Andrew Dillon, Clive Bell and Tara McDonald, with mixing by Dave Anderson. Thanks to all of you for doing it for mates rates! And thanks to Tom Cox for his support and encouragement...!
