About Me

I recently turned 26, and have been living in the Sin Francisco Yay Area since September 2000 to search for a new life. I was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, and grew up in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, while also spending time on our Indian Reservation, Granville Lake (aka Mathias Colomb Cree Nation-Pukatawagan). My oldest brother still lives on the Reservation in Pukatawagan, while the rest of my family is scattered throughout the Province of Manitoba. I have three older sisters, and one younger & one older brother. I've travelled and lived all over Canada, where Vancouver, BC, has left a profound impact on me with its beauty, cleanliness, and the people. I've had the privilege and honor to travel across Western Europe in recent years, where I visited many cities & countries including: my favorite country & people (the Dutch) in Amsterdam/Hilversum/Leeuwarden, Netherlands; GUCCI Flagship in Milan, Italy; the Eifel Tower in Paris, France; the magnificent Church in Cologne, Germany; The EU Capital of Brussells, Belgium; the beautiful beaches of Barcelona, Spain; and finally visiting Buckingham Palace in London, England, perfect for a QUEEN. After my many journeys, I ended up in San Francisco and fell in love with the Bay Area, and California.Life has given me many rewards, in addition to some heartache along the way, but I always strive to be the best that I can & make do with what I have.A new life is what I have found, and what an AMAZING journey it has been. I am currently in my Senior year at the University of California, Berkeley finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with the intent of continuing on to medical school. My Reservation/Tribe that I'm enrolled/registered with is the..... MATHIAS COLOMB CREE NATION located in Pukatawagan, Manitoba, Canada.Pukatawagan/Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, a community of 1464 (Statistics Canada, 2001 Census), is a remote northern community located 819 km northwest of the Capital City of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Pukatawagan/Mathias Colomb Cree Nation is connected by gravel road to both the train station and the airport, and for a period of approximately three months a year, has the privelege of using a winter road (paved frozen lake) so that vehicles & supplies can access the community. The Mathias Colomb Cree Nation was formed in 1910 as a group of Native Americans/First Nations separated from the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation of Saskatchewan. Originally, the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation settled along the Churchill River at Highrock Lake in the Prayer River area. A fire destroyed the Prayer River community in the late 1960’s and the tribe/band was forced to relocate to the current Pukatawagan Reserve/ Reservation. The Native population in California as of July 1, 2005, is 696,600, making the Golden State home to the more Natives than any other state. California was followed by Oklahoma (401,100) and Arizona (334,700).The first American Indian Day was celebrated in May of 1916 in New York. In 1990, then-President George Bush signed a joint congressional resolution designating November as "National American Indian Heritage Month." Similar proclamations have been issued every year since 1994.United States Census:Native Americans, by the numbers:Population:Five million was, as of July 1, 2005, the estimated population of American Indians and Alaska Natives, including those of more than one race. They make up 1.5 percent of the total population.Wanna know more?? Drop me a line....thx for your interest =)Click to zoom in on my visitor map!
