Begun in 1999 as a DIY electromagnetic mind control R&D unit, Earwicker's first show was at the world famous Tehama Alley Clit Stop, a mecca for SF's BrutalSoundFX and improv noise addicts. Founding members, brothers Shem and Shaun, have collaborated over the years with ZeroK (ex-NBC), transplutonian bootybass pioneer Dave Wright (Not Breathing), old school chill nook luminary, Seofon, and Obscuratron (Crack WAR, Le Flange du Mal), all of whom appear on the new Earwicker album on Resipiscent, "The All Seeing Ear". http://www.resipiscent.com/ Earwicker's first instrument was a light and sound device called Mind Gear, audio was taken direct from the "Light" jack while headphone out was rerouted to audio input, fedback theta blips and alpha spikes facilitating the knowledge and conversation of the Intergalactic Bankers. Later experiments with pulse generator and remapping of biocomputer circuits led to increased induction of transpersonal waveforms including contact with inhabitants of the Solid City-State and remote visualization of the Hyper-Torus. Since Dave Wright's relocation to a bunker in the deep desert , he has contributed numerous oddball electronic instruments to Earwicker's arsenal. Shaun's favorite, the Talking Teacher, is a circuit-bent children's toy that emits jagged assymmetrical rhythms and random sub-phonetic speech fragments. Another favorite is the Cracklebox, which allows Earwicker to perform for insects as well as humans.
