The BandWagons

About Me

The BandWagons is the first feature film from MILES TO GO PRODUCTIONS.
The film stars York's own Hayley Hutchinson as part of a trio of unlikely musicians who accidentally become famous and rub shoulders with real up-and-coming bands and musicians such as The Sugars, The Lodger, The Long Blondes, The Howling Bells, The Ivories, Robots In Disguise, Sam Forrest and a whole heap of others.
The film, for which we had zero budget, started shooting on 6.6.06 in Leeds, York and around the country, and was wrapped on 20.6.07.
The BandWagons premiered at City Screen cinema in York on November 6th 2007, and screened to a sold out room - and there was a repeat screening on Sunday May 25th 2008.
And HERE IT IS! In 9 luscious parts… and remember that if you go to OPENFILM you can watch them FULLSCREEN HI-RES!

Band Members: Buddy Hankle - in the backwaters of Wisconsin, Buddy Hankle woke up one Spring morning to find himself transformed in his bed into a giant singer. He enjoys pacifying loose lint and delving into buckets.

Princess La La - crawling from the primordial ooze of a musical childhood, La La evolved from a seabound mammal into a long-legged, blonde hipster who twangs her geetar like a Muvva bitch. We hail her.

And Christ-a-Lordy, let's not forget...

Cosmic Jones - the heart, spirit and lungs of the band, bringing his own brand of suitcase-tappin', Fender Rhodes-slammin' wizardry to The BandWagons.

Songs? Four of 'em, and what stormers they are...
