About Me

I joined this because all i kept hearing about is Myspace this and Myspace that and i felt i was missing out but now i've got here i don't understand what all the fuss is about and that led me to the thought that perhaps i'm not meant to get it and that infact having just turned 36 i am too old to be partaking in any of these shenanigans. I mean i don't like "grime" music and don't know what is in the charts anymore apart from that "crazy" song and i only know about that from reading about it and i listened to it online and thought it was shit. I think i'm kinda waiting to have kids so i can tell them "you call that music!" to when they are listening to the latest tunes beamed via lazer to their mp10/phone/lazer/internet/satellite sunglassess they will be wearing. I stopped buying new music in any significant way a few years ago and am in the process of digitising my extensive record collection (i.e. buying the cd of the vinyl) and getting ripped off by "music and video exchange" who think i don't know how much my original 12" of "don't get me started" by big lady k is worth but i'm too lazy to sell them on ebay because there is a hundred other buggers selling all the same records. And thats another one - ebay - can't be bothered with that either. Do like mp3 players as that has made the interminable hours spent on the north circular much more pleasant as can't listen to one more dj rambling on or competitions where you have to guess the tune and get played 1 hundredth of a second of the song and the competition lasts for about 6 months and people STILL ring in with guesses that a. sound nothing like the song and b. a hundred people gave the same answer months ago and were ALSO wrong. SO i think we are all becoming a little bit obsessed with telling everybody we can via the medium of internet EVERY LITTLE BIT OF TEDIOUS INFORMATION about our day to day lives that we can. Is it because of the breakdown of the traditional family structure? Of village life??? About me though... freelance transmission controller working between various tv co.s Married to Brasilian I met there. Content that I am not being "creative" or have any "projects in development" or going out in Shoreditch anymore.

My Interests

oh well if i have to do this properly. In no particular order (apart from the first one obviously). Wife, Chel$ea (standard reply to all you "haters" out there - we've got Shevchenko so fuck right off). Dickinson & Morrison Melton Mowbray Pork Pies. Chocolate based products. Have others but can't think of them at the moment...

I'd like to meet:

Myself 15 years ago so I could tell me to buy Next shares at 25p each when they were close to going bust so I could then meet myself 10 years ago and buy a dirty warehouse flat in hoxton and sell it now for a ridiculous sum to a city-banker with an audi tt and not tell him about the dry rot and crackhouse next door. My wife 10 years ago so we could spend more time clubbing as those days are more or less behind me and she missed them. And Jesus
