the youth shelter supply was established august 26th 1998 in st. cloud minnesota. prior to this founders emmet klocker, adam bovee, and mike thienes started the sticks board shop (1993) and gained 5 years of retail experience. the sticks owner doug anderson moved on to other endeavors, but emmet, adam, and mike wanted to continue their goal of making the ultimate skateboard, snowboard, clothing, and footwear shop for guys and girls to call home. After that, in 2007 Mike Pettit and mike Thienes purchased the store from Emmet, with his rep work with volcom, capita, coal, union, and electric became too demanding. Emmet's office is still in back of the store.the youth shelter supply's goal is to continue providing customers with the best service, best brands, and widest selection of skateboards, snowboards, clothing, and footwear. our sales staff is expirienced and non-commissioned based, so that eliminates the pushy sales staff you may expierience elsewhere. we operate like this so you can trust us to sell you products that fit your needs, whether you are a beginner or expert.We also do a bunch of skateboard, snowboard, video, music, and art based events throughout the year to promote the local scene. so why buy your gear from a ski shop, bike store, internet store, all sports store, or mall whore store? come vist us and see why our store should be your shelter.
