I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I never know what to say in "about me" boxes, as I don't want to come off as a braggart or something. That being said, I'm awesome. haha, modest, too, right? Okay, jokes aside, here's some info about me: I'm liberal, but not hedonistic. I love film of all kinds, so you'll see me at the obscure foreign film at the Kentucky followed by the newest dumb comedy with Adam Sandler or something. Actually, I've been seeing less bad movies of late, except when I'm called upon to review one (I review for a central KY newspaper). Amatuer filmmaker, but I haven't worked much on that since we finished our last film in the summer of '05.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Generally: pretty much anyone. Networking is fun! Minor celebrities are always nice, too!

Who I Don't Care To Meet: I don't want to be your 946th add just because you have a compulsive need to "collect 'em all!"... If you're a band, I'll give you a shot, but I'm not gonna add ya just for kicks.

My Blog

I Love You, Man

He's Just Not That Into You

To a release a movie called He's Just Not That Into You around Valentine's Day seems like the oddest scheduling that there could possibly be. Based on the self help book of the same name, the movie gi...

Pretty much all modern movies have something working against it before you even see the film.  The technology capturing what the actors say and do so well that every movie is exceedingly crisp...

Valkyrie

If you like your war movies to have very little war in it and then the main characters ultimately fail at their noble mission, then Valkyrie may be the film for you.  I guess not every story c...

Yes Man

It's been a while since we've been given a satisfying Jim Carrey comedy (unless you count the unintentionally hilarious The Number 23 from last year).  Unfortunately, Yes Man isn't as strong a...

The Day the Earth Stood Still

There should be a rule about remakes: the resulting film has to be as good as or better than the original, otherwise the film should be shelved. Some movies would survive (Ocean's !!, The Depart...
