Born in the Gabonese jungle of West Africa from Thai mother and Italian father, Maya was raised in a multicultural environment and lived in several countries. A graduate of Trinity College of Music in London, Maya's area of interest expands from opera to world music, from classical to contemporary, as well as venturing in film music and experimental theatre. Maya is a permanent member of Vocal Motions Elastic Theatre, Music in Offices, and is an associated artist of Blüthner Piano London.Maya's critically acclaimed performance of MEDOUSA at Tête a Tête - The Opera Festival 2009, Riverside Studios, has received excellent feedback from members of the public. The next production of MEDOUSA will be on the 10th September at the London Metropolitan University in Holloway Road, followed by Paris on 2nd October 2009.
