Headcollision came into being after Henk tumbled into Luisa whilst gallivanting around bland art college corridors in The Netherlands. It was later proven to be an impact of lasting consequences.
The two discovered that they were always bumping into each other - outside pubs, inside kitchens at parties, more bland corridors and the occasional gig or 2. Since realising they were walking the same path, they decided to try writing a soundtrack to this rickety journey.
The first musical collaboration resulted in a release on the Dutch label Eat This records, a type of electronic, porous, whimsical lullaby which received quite a bit of international interest.
After moving to faraway lands and concocting all forms of visual and aural menaces, they settled in Sydney, Australia for a while.
There, they worked on their first EP: "Wish You Were There". It was clear that Henk should play guitar whilst Luisa would provide vocal offerings, as well as violin and computer samples. Friends Will Reever on bass and Jo Meares on guitar completed the live outfit. They played around town for a while, even venturing further south to tour other states and territories.
As the year 2004 came to a close, Henk and Luisa had moved back to Europe and began immediate work on a followup album.
They enlisted the services of long-time friend Eelco Bosman to join them on guitar. The lineup was complete till Januari 2006 when Maarten Heintges joined on drums. If somewhat unconventional: 2 guitars, drums, 1 voice and a large chunk of twisted and dangerous computer samples and broken beats to surprise any unsuspecting listener!
