DJ Management/ EventsA brief history of my Music Industry Career1999 – 2000 Ministry of Sound Promoter of Rulin’, Ministry’s Flagship weekly Saturday Night.Headhunted by Ministry to promote on all levels their weekly Saturday night event. Duties included liasing and booking with agents and managers of DJ’s and performers including – Roger Sanchez, Masters @ Work, Cassius, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles & all of Def Mix Roster, CJ Mackintosh, Erick Morillo and all of Subliminal Roster, Tony Humphries, Basement Boys, Francois Kervorkian, Darren Emerson, Tim Deluxe, Dave Angel, Claudio Coccoluto, Ralph, Eddie Amador, Defected Records and Azuli Records Parties. Implemented the first ever Defected and Azuli Records events. Held the first UK monthly Subliminal Records residency at Rulin’ including the first UK monthly residency for Erick Morillo. Dealt with all areas of Artist Liaison including travel arrangements, flights, hotels, drivers and work permits. Worked alongside artists on the Saturday night event. Dealt with press and listings for above events on all levels. Worked within strict budgets and timescales, to ensure the events worked and to make a profit. Liased directly with accounts department to make payments either by cheque, BACS or CHAPS to various parties Worldwide. Arranged flyer and poster distribution with appropriate parties/companies nationwide. Supervised design and artwork for all promotional materials for Rulin’, including adverts, posters, flyers and other material. During my time at Ministry I also helped MOS Tours with talent booking for various Worldwide events with my knowledge of which artist would work best within that territory. I also went on reckies of various venues within Europe to make sure they were appropriate for MOS events. Helped out on MOS’s groundbreaking Millennium Dome event in London whilst arranging and promoting 3 consecutive events (NYE, NY DAY, 2nd Jan 00) at Ministry with 3 exclusive DEF Mix Events including the whole Def Mix family. Helped with talent selection and booking for Ministry of Sound Friday night residency at Pacha Ibiza. Came up with name and complete concept for “Soul Heaven†events which are run by Zoo Entertainments and who’s residents include MAW, Jazzy Jeff and Bobby & Steve.2000 – 2006 Blue Cube Promotions Ltd DJ Management/Tours & EventsDay to day management of DJ’s diaries and careers, including promotion on all levels including mix cd’s, e-flyers, press packs. Liasing with promoters Worldwide to arrange and confirm bookings and residencies for a number of DJ’s including residencies and re- occurring gigs at Ministry of Sound, Fabric, The Cross, The End, Billy Club (Milan), Le Queen (Paris), Ministry of Sound Tours Worldwide, Pacha (London), Pacha (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza), Thompsons (Belfast), Red Light (Paris), Gatecrasher (Sheffield & London), Bora Bora (Ibiza), Egg (London), D-Club (Switzerland), Oven Ready (Copenhagen), and Countries including Brazil, Slovakia, Russia, America, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Venezuela, Australia, Greece. Dealing with the day to day needs of numerous Dj’s and artists, including arranging payments, invoicing, travel arrangements (finding and booking the best possible flights to fit with their itineraries, booking hotels and drivers, work permits) complete itineraries for tours/gigs, dealing with some recording details including negotiating compilation album deals, helping to licence tracks for albums. Selling and programming tours including booking talent, tour managing, arranging delivery and putting up production in venues Worldwide, liasing with designers on flyers and promotional material. Events worked on include Sa Paolo Pride, Ministry of Sound Knebworth Event, Big Gay Out, Ruby, Soho Pride, Purple in the Park DTPM Events @ Pacha Ibiza, El Divino Ibiza, Le Queen Paris, Tank Sydney, The Mint Leeds, The Honeyclub Brighton, Paradise Factory Manchester, 02 Club Lisbon. Programming and presenting of weekly radio show on House FM.1990 – Present1990 – 1994 Psychotic Reactions Promoted and DJ’d at monthly Saturday night event for 300 people in Romford, including guest DJ’s Alex Knight, Mark Williams, Marc French.1993 – 1996 United Frequencies Of Dance Promoted and DJ’d at various parties around London at venues including Leisure Lounge, Maximus, EC2 Club, Club Coliseum including DJ’s Andy Weatherall, David Holmes, Mr C, Fabio Paras, Dean Thatcher, Pete Heller, Smokin Jo, Nancy Noise, Breeze, Jon Digweed, Nicky Holloway, Sure is Pure, Ian Ossia, Rad Rice, Al Mackenzie, Paul Daley.1994 Weekly Thursday night at Club Art, Southend Promoted and DJ’d at weekly Thursday night which included DJ’s Mr C, Dean Thatcher, Fabio Paras, Craig Walsh, Darren Pearce.2001 “We Are You†Weekly Saturday night at The Scala, London I was employed as Musical Director, in charge of booking talent for weekly Saturday night in London. Talent included Eddie Amador (monthly resident), Felix Da Housecat, Junior Sanchez, Rhythm Masters, Terry Hunter, Terry Farley, Pete Heller, Tim Deluxe, Paul Jackson, CJ Mackintosh, Dave Piccioni, DJ Disciple, Pete Moss, Joe T Vanelli. Room 2 in conjunction with Hooj & Seven Magazine, talent included John Graham, Parks & Wilson, Rocky, Red Jerry, Omid 16B, Bill Brewster, Jon Marsh, Nathan Coles, Ashley Casselle.2001 – 2003 Freelance Artist Liasion/ Stage Management for Gatecrasher EventsIncluding Bed Arena @ Summer Sound System inc Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morrilo, Danny Rampling, Cassius, Joey Negro, Giles Peterson. Also MAW Dance Ritual Arena @ Summer Sound System inc MAW, Francois Kervorkian, Dimitri from Paris, Danny Rampling, Shaun Escoffrey, Los Amigos Invisables. 2 x NEC Birmingham events inc talent Pete Tong, Darren Emerson, Seb Fontaine, Richie Hawtin, X-Press 2, Roger Sanchez, Richard F, Erick Morillo, Danny Rampling, Carl Cox.2002 – 2003 Co-Promoted “Tribalism†monthly Saturday night @ Ministry of Sound Promoted and programmed all 3 rooms of the venue in conjunction with Ministry. Talent booked included David Morales, Pete Heller, Pete Moss, Heather, Murk, Rui Vargas, Ralph Lawson, Justin Berkman, Smokin Jo, DJ Paulette, Norman Jay, Tom Stephan, Tedd Patterson.
