About Me

Here is the Suzy Ronstadt Song, "In The Stardust" So many wonderful things to say about it, but I will leave it to you to hear and decide. Suzy is a beautiful person with much talent and I am so pleased her song is finally getting out there. I feel privalaged and blessed to be able to be part of that. I also realize now I wish I had checked for typos before blogging :) Thanks for listening!Debbie VicariPlease listen to the song "What I'd Give" and read the lyrics that also have a story behind the song attached. Various photos and presentations will be put with this song as well as another called The Rain Came Down (Joey's Song) and will be put up on youtube soon. WE will re-record some songs and make them widely available soon. Thank you SO much for listening and reading.Born in Tucson Arizona to a musical family Debbie sang song lyrics before she began speaking sentences. Music was a regular part of Debbie's upbringing with her father being a drummer, uncle a sax player, grandfather a musician as well and on and on. At age four Debbie performed her first church solo and at one point forgot the words. she stood at the pew and noticed her mom mouthing something to her so on the microhone she loudly asked her mom WHAT? while the organist continued looping the begining. Then after a short laugh from the church members there she recalled the words, finsihed the song, and didn't think it anything strange. Everyone complemented her in fact.Through her childhood years and on Debbie continued performing in many differnt arenas. She was always a favorite in school choirs,. church choirs, loved singing for and at charity events and more. It wasn't until several tragic events took place her families' and her personal lives that Deb's aspirations to become the "singing doctor" (singing for the love of it and other's enjoyment and Doc to make a living) changed to finally breaking down and putting all of her eenrgy into doing music as a vocation. She committed to learning all she could about the business. the marketing the PR and all other other aspects in additon to the art of songwriting and perfoming One of her best qualities is the passion she puts into FEELING every word of of every song she sings be it one she wrote, one that was written with or for her, or a cover. To Debbie, REAL matters. If the audience leaves without FEELING, then she feels she has cheated them. The talent is there... but it takes more.. And Debbie has been and is more than willing to give above and beyond and do so with a smile. Her only radio play in the US was a Spanish Country song called Tu No Me Quieres and in New Zealand and other countries the English version of that same song - You No Longer Love me. The latter is still played in parts of Europe and New ZealandDeb has finally moved to LA to get to the final leg of her music journey. She has been known to say she doens't care if they want her to BURP the ABCs she will learn if it will get her a decent paying gig. Young enough to attract yet old enough to know better than to be too unweilding about how things must be done, she stands a wonderful chance of doing what she sets her mind to do. Because of personal events she spent ten years on camera and in an unfortunate limelight... but in the process learned about media as a business and has attempted to relate some of the same premises ito her music and that business now... Stage fright isn't present as this camera work was in love for her sister.. and her family.. An unfortunate way to learn stage presence. But also a way to give a few folks a lil hope.As Ms. Vicari Says: I Do want to be financially secure. It is not fun lving paycheck to paycheck.. but I am not in this for money. I'd like it but it isn't the goal. Only a fool would work at this labor for that reason with the majority barely getting by. It is a remote possiblity but most know better. If it were money and upward mobility alone that I was after, I would have remianed in med school. My reasons for doing music are uniquely common other than the FACT that I TRULY love music. What I am doing and how it affects others; Because my family and I lived difficult lives in the presence of news cameras, bascilly the old form of reality TV, I have found that following the music has given hope to some people and that is an incredible reward. "Money can't buy somebody hope, but people in the shoes that I have learned to wear can give it to them." With luck coming to her on more than one occasion it's fun to believe that destiny is all part of this journey.Country music is the genre for Debbie Vicari. But writing under Deborah Kay Music she will include R&B. Additionally on the next album there will be some crossover Spanish Country.. So just watch out and enjoy... and look for tha Deborah Kay stuff up and coming in about six months also.. Just a little more.. on the Down low :)Next steps, meetings to figure out final things needing to be done.. agent now required.. seek country contract and continue working, writing. making it easier for those down the line to have a finished product with all legal facts in order and PR considered and hopefully the look and image of self being sufficiently polished for the task. Commercials are possbilities both on comera and jingles or performance and voiceovers are also on her resume bio ..Thank you so much for your support and please do keep an eye out. Almost there!(BTW - doeas one REALLY have to speak of themselves eloquently in the third person?? I AM, afterall, doing country.. we like to smile and have fun and be real!!!) Throw me them jeans darlin'!

Sounds Like: Bonnie rait, Reba Mcyntyre, Christina Aguilera, Selena, Linda Ronstadt. It all depends on the genre... but it has that unique debbie Vicari quality. Go from listening to Last singing Cowboy to What I'd Give then to the song Do you ever think of me. I think I just sound like myself but would LOVE to know what YOU think!
