Create your own visitor map I don't like the city. I grew up in the furthest southwest suburbs of Chicago, Southside Irish...grew up a tomboy; camping, fishing, hunting, archery, horses, animals....took ballet lessons, attended Catholic school and later became a born-again Christian. I began singing at the age of 5 and won state highschool vocal competitions. As a child I was often at the garage band rehearsals and highschool sockhops of Gary Luizo and the American Breed where I first became interested in guitars. As a solo artist I've sang professionally for 36years, secular as well as Gospel, tour, stage, television, a movie. I play 12 string rythm guitar as well as a bit of keyboard. I am an adovocate for the homeless and Lamp Art Project in Skid Row, Los Angeles.I've lived in Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Minnesota and California.I'm a performance artist and a visual artist. I've had a couple of writings published as well as sold much of my art, in various forms, through out my life.I was founder and executive director of Samaritan Minitries, a non-profit that ministers to the needs of the poor and homeless in the ghetto of Chicago's Westside. I've also worked in special education, utilizing my limited sign language capabilities.I like to have fun and do so wherever I go, no matter what the circumstances. People tell me they love my laugh most likely because I'm always laughing and joking around. I am a survivor of the hurricanes of life by the Grace of God and laughter....the joy of the Lord is my strength....It's the simple things in life I enjoy most...flowers...to garden...working with my hands....I love the outdoors....mountains....the ocean...water of any kind....coffee....National Geographic magazine...fresh, clean sheets...laying in bed listening to the rain.....peace....i would love nothing more than a secluded cabin in the woods outside of Nashville...Some people dream their dreams and some prefer to live them....I prefer to live....
