Carl P. Carrasco

My name is Carl P. Carrasco and I'm a solo artist here in Las Cruces New Mexico. I currently am working on a masters degree in Wildlife Science, but music is far more important to me. I try to write songs with an element of truth to my own life and my experiences. My songs are generally very of the moment. I draw influences from many different artists and genres but my music remains stubbornly my own. I'm not a very modern person in terms of music... I hope to put a full band together but for right now it's just me. I think rock n' roll in general has taken a turn where there are few bands have real talent and the music industry makes cookie cutter bands and shoves them down the publics collective throat; rock and roll is about freedom and expression not control. Anyone who's looking for something meaningful in music should explore options beyond whats become the mainstream and support artists who refuse to be hampered by those expectations. Life is great so go out and find the things that make it beautiful.
