I am currently the effects shop supervisor, and one of the digital effects animators at Precinct 13 Entertainment in Crestline, Ohio. I moved back to Ohio after 15 years in L.A. working in a variety of effects houses including KNB Effects, Rick Baker's Cinovation, Stan Winston Studio, Steve Johnson's XFX, Greg Cannom Creations, and.....well, just about every major shop in town (as well as a few of the smaller shops!)When the better half and I decided after 20 years of wedded bliss to do some begettin', we decided that SoCal was no place to send the kids if they wanted to get a decent education. Fortuitously, Bob Kurtzman (the "K" in KNB Effects) had also left California for his original birthplace and family, establishing Precinct 13 Entertainment in an ex-bowling alley in his hometown of Crestline, Ohio. Therefore, I could return to where the rest of my family lives, and still do the only job I know:Making monstersAfter a hectic 6 month flurry of activity doing the effects for a series of film called "The Horror Chronicles" in New Mexico, we are back into principle photography on the Precinct 13 Entertainment production of Bob Kurtzman's "The Rage" I am going to attempt to keep you, my dear reader, abreast of the happenings on a daily basis on the blog that is linked to this site.
