About Me

After nearly 3 years of dating, Bill Brinser married Brandy Yant on April 11th, 2009. The Traditional Southern Elegance of LaGrange Hall Toasts the Modern Bride. LaGrange Hall is where the Brinser's Wedding Ceremony and Reception took place in Tennessee. This beautiful plantation is more than 160 years old and is owned by Brandy's aunt and uncle.
It was a great day and the weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding. The horse and carriage were a surprise to the guest that brought Brandy and her father down to the waterfront ceremony. There were around 100 guest ready to see the couple exchange vows, a kiss and a promise of forever. An old civil war cannon was shot to start a new life together off with a bang. Then the bride and groom walked down the aisle as Newlyweds and got back in the carriage.
The reception was a travel theme. There were luggage tag favors, since many of the guest were from out of town. They could use the luggage tags to travel with back to their home. All of the tables were named to match places the couple had traveled throughout their relationship with a picture from the place beside the centerpiece. (Dublin, Seattle, Vegas, Cancun, Guatemala, South Africa, Breckenridge, Dallas, and Palm Springs to name some) The couple chose a groom's cake shaped to look like a suitcase to sit beside the bridal cake.
The first dance was to a Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat song, Lucky. The couple had been to a few dance lessons to make it fun. The bouquet and garter toss were after the dance and was rather entertaining. All of the guest ended up leaving right around sunset. At the end of the day, flower dog Beacon was very tired from so much fun.
I have a great life and I consider myself pretty lucky. I am a strong believer in myself and most of all God. Over three years ago, I went on craigslist.com to find a roommate in Orange County and that is how I found my bestfriend turned HUSBAND. He is amazing! He can always make me smile and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. We have a little girl, she is a Miniature Schnauzer named Beacon. She is the most beautiful puppy I have ever seen and I adore her and she makes us so proud.
I moved to California to go to fashion school to be in the fashion industry. I have lived in California for 6 years but I am a small town southern country girl at heart. I miss my family and friends back in Tennessee but the fashion is here. I love fashion and I love to travel and go places I have never been. I have been to England, Rome, France, FIJI, South Africa and Asia so far. I would love to visit all of the new Seven Wonders of the World before I die and I do think it is possible. I know to never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much. I am just following my dreams for now.
I grew up in a small town but had big dreams of being in the fashion industry. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 18 to attend The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. There were more people in my 1st apartment complex in the heart of Downtown LA than the entire population of the town I grew up in.
At FIDM, I was in The Merchandise Product Development program. This program prepares students for a career in merchandising established fashion brands. The curriculum focused on planning, developing, and presenting product lines, and on the technical design of individual styles within the line. I learned to compete successfully in trend analysis, strategic planning, line development, and preproduction planning. I graduated in 2003 with an Associate’s Degree.
After graduating I dreamed that one day I could get into the International Manufacturing & Product Development Advanced Study Program that FIDM offers to hand-picked students. I ended up getting accepted into the program that only took 10 students and cried my 1st true happy tears. I knew that The Advanced Study Program in International Manufacturing & Product Development would provide me with a professional education and the essential skills I would need to compete in the fast-paced, global community of Manufacturing and Product Development. My class of 10 students worked with Carrera Jeans of Italy. I designed an infant line for boys 6 months to 12 months old. This was such an amazing comprehensive program that involved us (the students) in all phases of the product development cycle from the initial concept and design of the product through technical design, sourcing, costing, production, and marketing to the consumer. In addition, we traveled to Europe to study trends and Asia to tour factories and research sourcing and production of clothing. We were able to keep up-to-date with the latest trends affecting and impacting the international marketplace.
My motto in life is to “Dream Big!” – I did and still do.
