Skip Town Matty was formed in 2007 in The Electric City, Scranton Pennsylvania. We wrote, recorded, and pressed our first full- length record in the first 6 months of being together, and debuted for our first show on June 1st 2008 for about 30 kids in a tiny youth center in Scranton, where the walls sweat and kids share your mic. We booked our first tour by January 1st 2009, taking us from Scranton through Florida and back. We have always concentrated on a solid high energy stage presence, positive attitude and the thought that you can move forward even when it seems impossible. Our influences vary from bands like The Specials to New Found Glory. We can be identified on stage immediately by our extreme burst of energy that starts out each of our sets. We play what we love and we love what we play, one of our sets will prove it.
