National Green

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) National Green came about when Paul Geddes and Aaron Childress started writing songs together in the summer of 1994. The music came mostly from jamming out and experimenting with 4-track recordings (and mind altering substances.) These experimentations later evolved to 8-track recordings and they honed their songwriting skills and recorded a basement-style demo. Kim Geddes (bass) and Chris Husak (drums) were soon added to create the four piece line-up. After Chris left NG, the remaining trio answered an add in the Nashville Scene in 2001 and recruited David Formosa to play drums for the band and the main line up was officially complete. (Paul Geddes-guitars/vocals, Aaron Childress-guitars/vocals, Kim Geddes-bass/vocals, David Formosa-drums.) Over the next two years they released an independent cd, played numerous local shows including Buzzfest 2001. With hooks and a kick-ass live performance, they produced polished 8-track demos and were played on several local radio stations getting props from clubs and fellow local bands. A second cd was recorded but never released. After Aaron later left NG, Paul, Kim, and Dave continued to play locally and write and produce basement recordings. Several other friends/guests have stepped in and out of the NG line-up along the way. National Green was and will always be about enjoying life, happiness and the music.
