Gene The Problem Child started rapping producing for his underground rap group the Gas Chamber in 1996. The group was scouted by major recording labels and performed many local shows on the underground hip hop scene but internal conflicts of interests broke up the 5 man rap group. In 2000 shortly after the group disbanded Gene's friend Grammy award winning producer Errol E poppi McCalla (Missy Elliot, Beyonce, Keyshia Cole, Destiny's Child) returned home from working with Missy. Errol encouraged Gene to focus on his production and work under his production team Playhouse Music. Gene the Problem Child has worked with various artists from Houston, Atlanta, NC, and NY. And looks forward to working with anyone serious about creating music to take the world by storm. Now in 2007 Gene has created his own production company working closely with hot new talent from Houston. Gene is also recording songs for his artists DaGoldenChild, KARO.
