Band Together To Go Forward

About Me

The Christopher Reeve Foundation started as the American Paralysis Association in 1982. Its name was changed after Christopher Reeve's equestrian accident in May of 1995 when he was paralyzed from the shoulders down. We all have the power to find a cure for this unfortunate disability. Before his death, Chris could move the fingers in his left hand, extend his legs, stand and sit up in a 90 degree angle, and move his right wrist. Imagine what we can accomplish if we continue his work as well as his wife Dana's, who also recently passed away. We could not find a cure in their lifetimes, but perhaps we can in the lifetimes of Chris and Dana's son, Will, and Chris's two other children, Matthew and Alexandra. It's time to Go Forward!
