Be the change you want to see

About Me

I am a fourth grade teacher at a school in Westminster. I personally find fourth graders to be some of the funniest people alive. If you ever what to know the TRUTH about yourself ... ask a fourth grader. I am very passionate about life and people. I believe that God has given us the unique oppertunity to love each other with the gifts He has given us. My favorite saying is, "be the change you would like to see."

My Interests

I love soccer. By my standards soccer is the greatest sport ever played, whether its outdoor, indoor, foosball, soccer on Sega, watching the World cup, taping and watching reruns of the world cup, soccer is just an amazing sport. I also enjoy reading any book that makes me think outside of the realm of what is familiar, meaning they promote or inspire growth. Hiking is a passion of mine. There is nothing better than enjoying God's presence in the beauty that He created for us. And of course I take great joy in hanging out with my friends.

I'd like to meet:

I enjoy meeting a variety of people. Specifically speaking I would like to meet Jesus, Ghandi, and this guy, the Joe Boxer dancer. Work it!

Music:

I find that I enjoy a song more when I know the lyrics, I love to sing along at the top of my lungs while in my car. For the most part I enjoy a variety of music. As long as I can dance to it, I'll like it.

Movies:

Quotable movies are the best. My all time favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. Samsonite... I was way off! I also like the Anchorman, Notebook, Strictly Ballroom, Love Actually, A Cure for Starvation, and V for Vendetta.

Television:

I love Scrubs and all of JD's zany antics. Also, the Office is quickly becoming a new favorite.

Books:

One of my all time favorite books would be Redeeming Love, it is a great reminder of God's love and how powerful and needed His grace is in our lives. I also enjoy the Tao Te Ching, which are Chinese proverbs that give raise to thoughts on contentment through action.

Heroes:

A hero is anybody that has the courage to change a life. For me, that would be my parents.
