About Me

a solitary candle flame; burning in a vast, empty hall, continually blown into new shapes, new dances, believing itself to have chosen them... and for whom in the emptiness?

a moment of consciousness, ever surfacing, ever submerging, flying through perceptions, diving through memories, feasting on impressions constructed from impressions constructed...

a fool cavorting, spinning the globe on his finger as the globe spins him...

a point, a vortex, distorting the world around it, a mouth of endless hunger with no body to feed.

mind is everything, but... everything is mind.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

**** Beginners' Thai Massage Course, 14th and 15th of April in Oval/Vauxhall , £85, anyone interested please get in touch soon, it's great fun and very grounding and opening. See my website http://www.jamesthaimassage.co.uk/ ****

Cool people, lovely people, open and friendly people, liberal people, witty, intelligent people... :-)

Especially interested talking to masseurs, musicians and writers... have a listen to my music: me as Morphology (also in my Top Friends)

... and if anyone needs massage or life-modelling, let me know...

but don't just add me and then never send me a message. It isn't respectful. And please don't just say 'hi, how are you?' How am I supposed to answer that? Flattery is always welcome...

and please don't get in touch if you wouldn't contemplate meeting me 'in real life', unless it's about business, or you need a bit of advice, or something like writing where we can swap our work... I've met many lovely people who just want someone to chat to online, and that's fine, but I don't really have time for that myself.

xxx to everyone

Philosophical systems

A major problem, as I see it, of philosophical/physical/metaphysical thinkers and their 'systems' is as follows. They typically, quite rightly, launch out into the nebulous space of the 'don't-know-mi...

Adult

As a child, I imagined that, at some point, probably a predestined one, such as 18 or 21, I would become an adult: I would have changed, become accepted, become part of the adult world, with all the a...

Real music, anyone?

It's interesting that people have suggested that copying and sharing recorded sound will bring about 'the end of music', considering that recorded music is a comparatively new invention. I gather that...

A horror of people...

Looking at all these people, for example this aged woman on the Tube, her face etched with lines of bitterness, complaint, disappointment, crude unthinking anger... he sits next to her, staring straig...
