Born in the midlands in 1970 : I grew up listening to all styles of music, it just always seemed to be the funky stuff that got Attison going. He started DJing in 1999 and has played many styles from Soulful, Funky, US Disco, Jackin' Deep House. To what it is known today “New Skool Jack” Attison’s influences come from a vast array of sounds and dj’s from Frankie knuckles, Todd terry, Erick Morrillo, Ron Carroll, to the main man Mark farina, Bryan Jones, Joey Youngman to name a few. Over the past 9 and a half years Attison’s reputation has been building, playing accross the Midlands, The Uk and Ibiza. From Fuel were this bank holiday he plays alongside the man himself “MAW” Louie Vega to the mighty 'Miss Moneypenny's' were he learnt the foundations of playing the big club scene, to djing at El divino, Esvive pool party’s, to putting his own night on, Sunday’s tonic, which he took to Ibiza as a package holiday for everyone. He did this for 3 & a half years. It was hard work with other work commitments and after some heart ache he called it a day. But Attison loving djing so much he carried on playing back home, all over the midlands Manchester, Liverpool, were he was playing a new sound for the uk “New Skool Jack” But the place that has allowed him to stamp his style on, was when he got booked by long time friend Barney and Big Danny kane to play for the huge and best late nite party around “if you want it” @ Bushwhackers, were he has brought a new sound to brums ears, after smashing it up on his debut nite he has become a firm favourite and securing his residency over the last two years. From this Attison has just landed himself his dream set at Pacha this summer teaming up with Andy Baxter funky room head man, for a funk fuelled nite.Over the last two years Attison has teamed up with Darkdrum head honcho Dave henshaw to create what they are known today “Far fetched thoughts” after coming back from the wmc conference in 2006 with a record signing to Knob records from New york, were they reached no3 in the Richmond pool charts, they started work on our new sound. But work commitments were still getting in there way, but they still found time to work together to create some great new tracks, which got snapped up in 2008 and released in febuary, by Oscar p’s label Open bar from New york Mr Madu a funk filled groover which went to no1 in the states and onto an Oscar p compilation Cd, and Afro disko with vocals from Miss G which was aimed at the electro scene.Now Attison has teamed up with life long friend Paul mumford “Muscles promotions” To create our brand “MBPO” more bounce per ounce, were they are going to be putting on nites starting out in Berlin were Paul is based, and with a little help from Oscar p, and booking in some quality dj’s an acts, from across the globe, and also bringing over some of the midlands finest dj’s, they are also setting up there own record label which we will see there first release coming very soon so keep them peeled.Attison has played alongside the legends Ron Carroll, Louie vega, Andy Baxter, Jim Shaft Ryan, Brandon Block, Jeremy Healy, Herd & Fitz, Greame Park, Seamus Haji, The Freemasons, Jose Nunez, Kiddo, Eric Prydz & Howard Donald, and a host of talented midlands dj's.I look forward to seeing you all for another great year on the dance floor - Keep your eyes open for releases this year on Ron Carroll's label with other projects ready for the Miami Music Conference.
