I listen to just about anything. Techno/Dance is my ideal bar music. But I like Hiphop/R&B when I'm with a date. Alternative is my ideal listening music and I like to listen to hard rock/metal when I'm trying to blow steam.
Movies:
Lord of the Rings 1-3, The Matrix (first one only), Underworld 1 and 2, Spiderman 1 and 2, X-Men 1-3, Blade 1-3 and many many others...
Books:
Lord of the Rings, Dragonlance (Weis and Hickman), Mechwarrior saga and any fantasy book that catches my eye.
