Contrary to what his moniker suggests, the emcee/producer known as N/A (No Alias) is making a name for himself. The Mid City Los Angeles native provides an alternative to the materialism, violence, sex and drugs often portrayed in todays Hip Hop scene. His music, positive but not preachy, touches upon his personal views and experiences with vivid detail and undeniable rhyme skill, which he has honed since age 11. Artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Little Brother and The Pharycde are inspirations to the style of Hip Hop he creates. Currently he is a member of the up and coming crew Tha Lepht, with The E.M.S. and Menacin Johnson, and The Middle Men with The E.M.S. and DJ Hint. The Middle Men has opened up for acts such as J-Zone, El Da Sensei, J-Live and Prodigal Sunn (formerly of Sunz of Man.) N/A can be spotted regularly at the infamous Project Blowed Open Mic Workshop, where his music has been well received. As he prepares to independently release his debut LP, and continues to generate a buzz in the LA underground Hip Hop scene, N/As mission is to reach a middleground in Hip Hop: to gain respect from listeners of mainstream music as well as underground.
