Standing at a formidable 6'4, this cat in the hat is definitely one of Australia’s ongoing prodigy hype-man. MC JAYSON aka mr jayson exploded onto the rnb/hip hop club scene over four years ago & is now one of Australia’s most sought after MC’s.
Belittling other MC’s with his grand stature, MC JAYSON really ain’t hard to miss, blessing crowds with his proverbial vocal gymnastics & sounds at the biggest rnb/hip hop events in this country.
Leading the next generation of hype-men down the party halls of groove, armed with nuttin’ but a microphone & a smile, MC JAYSON’s light-hearted approach to crowd motivation & participation is like a breath of fresh air compared to many other hardened, more seasoned MC's.
After gaining the respect & recognition he so greatly deserved, four years strong MC JAYSON has worked along side Australia’s top Dj’s in SeFu, G-Wizard, Def Rok, Lilo, Air Rik & Eko on a weekly basis & also DJ’s Mark Molina, Carl Alley, Solz, Nino Brown, Stanley, D-Bo, Mac, Rangi, Ms Hennessy, Lil Pete, Mighty Matt, Giorgie V & Regz. Also going national working with Djs Tony Jean (melb), Kevin Watts (melb), J-Riq (melb), J-Jay (melb), MC Loudmouth Len (bris) & MC Rudeboy (melb) just to name a few.
Securing spots at rnbsuperclub (North Sydney, Manly, Central Coast, Wollongong, Newcastle, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne & Noosa, Hobart, Mackay, Darwin, Alice Springs, Townsville, Adelaide, Perth), Hunny, Jigsaw, Deep Blu, Whisper Lounge, Indulge, every long weekend at Superjamm. Also hosting various other club nights such as Red Room @ Hotel Chambers, Urban Soul Lounge @ Collingwood Hotle, Heaven @ Space & Fridays @ One World Sport.
MC JAYSON has also hosted numerous university gigs namely Octoberfest @ the University of Technology Sydney, concerts & after parties which have featured international artists such as Boyz II Men, Mobb Deep, Next, Savage, Mareko & Alphrisk from the Decepticons(NZ) and local acts Random, Jade MacRea, Levi & Lethbridge.
To his credit, MC JAYSON was the official MC on the ‘rnbsuperclub CD Vol 4.0’ mixed by DJ SeFu & Troy T for Warner Music Australia. The CD went GOLD (over 35,000 copies sold) and has gone on to become the highest selling Urban Mix CD in Australia. He also toured around Australia with DJ’s SeFu & Troy T to promote the CD.
Furthermore MC JAYSON was also apart of the 5th installment to the ‘rnbsuperclub CD collection' namely Vol 5.0 (once again under Warner Music Australia. The CD was mixed by DJ SeFu on disc 1 & introducing DJ Def Rok on disc 2. The double CD compilation is an equal blend of smooth tunes along with club banging rnb/hiphop.
To add to his credentials, MC JAYSON has once again contributed to the chapter to the ongoing series ‘rnbsuperclub CD Vol 6.0’ proudly mixed by DJ G-Wizard & Def Rok. The double CD packs a mean punch with current club tracks alongside club classic’s. Currently MC JAYSON is touring with DJ G-Wizard & Def Rok Australia wide & after 17 weeks in the Aria Charts, it still holds its position in the top 20 with 30,000+ units sold.
Fast forward to the present, the stores are lined with the rnbsuperclub CD Vol 7.0 which is set to move BIG units. The CD takes a new route with disc one mixed by DJ G-Wizard ft yours truly Mr Jayson & disc two mixed by DJ Kevin Watts ft MC Rudeboy both living & representing Melbourne.
