BIOGRAPHY
At the beginning, BTZ wasn't really a "serious" (lol) thing : for any statement, the original concept was to create music that would be a tribute to the beautiful soundtrack of the video game "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver", released in 1999 ! But soon after the diffusion of the first BTZ songs, I've realized - thanks to my friends' reactions and the enthusiasm of the Nosgoth-fr.net board members (first french website dedicated to Legacy of Kain, where I'm known as Slack) - that this music had vocation to touch other people, and could explore a wider musical field.
Always slightly influenced by the "Soul Reaver" soundtrack (composed by Kurt Harland from The Information Society) but also by bands from different musical horizons such as Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Apocalyptica or Portishead, the BTZ music is evolving between industrial, gothic and progressive spheres, and is using some of the structures and arrangements of rock and electronic music.
