About Me

Once upon a time not long ago, there was a band called Del-Rey. Based in Houston, Texas this band of musicians had been through many zany adventures over the years - this particular story however is about their very professional attitude, and more importantly what happened on the night of the gig at Armando's Strip Pit....that's right, Armando's Strip Pit. But for now, I'd like to take you back a few years. Back to a place called simply "The Farm". So join me as we peer into the world that is Del-Rey...[band plays 'serendipity', after which there are complaints of its lack of commercial potential...Roy - "Thank you. That song was called Serendipity. I hope you liked it. I sure did."]...Exciting, isn't it?.....So, after many long nights of drugs and rock 'n' roll, the guys began to show some early signs of hunger...[Sean - "I'm hungry". Stephen- "Yeah, are we ever going to get paid?"]...Just then Roy, the lead guitar player was struck with what seemed like an incredibly professional idea. [Roy - "What we need is a hit single. All the good bands are doing it. If we could get a bun in the charts, we could have all the drugs we want." Ryan - "Yeah! That's a great idea!"] So the band went straight to work on what they thought would be a very commercial hit single in the charts. (With a bullet!)....That night, they debuted thier new hit...[THE BUN] Dissapointed with its lack of success, the band began to sink into a dark period of depression and heavy drug use. But soon enough, they were back, clean and sober - and this time they played the blues...[AT HOME] (Herb gets down..Mop to Honkon) Realizing the band would never pay off, Ryan the bass player makes the decision to seek success elsewhere. [Ryan - "Well guys, I'm off to Hong Kong, where the real money is."] So, with the dparture of Ryan, the band was faced with a delimma - replace the bass player, or attempt to create a new fad of pop music which would make itself an enemy of the bass guitar. This, of course was a hopeless idea....So the band continued to do the only thing they felt made any sense. They wanted groupies, and who better to bring the groupies than Clint Dale. (enter Clint) ...To be continued....or not
