The 808s

The 808’s may be new to some, but the two individuals behind the name have been in the music business for well over 8 years. Joining forces as “The 808’s” they’ve decided that it was time to use their hit song writing techniques on their own EP. The 808’s are set to be “the fastest rising act of the dance scene” The 808’s are on the express way to major international success with no speed limits”


The 808’s are DJ, producer and Songwriter Aladdin Royaal and Producer, Songwriter, vocalist and MC Bryan B. Both Australian Born they met when they were both booked as song writers and producers to complete a major recording artists album. Shortly after, they formed the original dynamic duo “The 808’s” named after the original Roland 808 drum machine.
Bryan was working from his studio in Brisbane when they decided to join their studios as one in Sydney to work on their debut EP the 808s “Our Lives”. Previously they both have performed Internationally and locally as individual artists, but these days they can be seen performing as the 808s.
In 2008 Come Home (Royaal n Black featuring Bryan B) was signed immediately by Central Station Records on their internationally renowned label Tinted Records where artists such as Tiesto, Armin Van Bureen and Dj Sammy are signed just to name a few. Since than the hits kept coming and has made this year a busy year for the Duo with Original Productions and Remix for Major artists and Labels such as September, Toni Loc, Young MC, Cristian Alexanda Featuring Ja Rule, Nick Skitz (Funky Choad), The Young Punx, David May, Joel Turner, Australian Idol Joseph Gatehau, GoldFish (Pacha Label) just to name a few and done an English remake for European number one single “Rap Das Armis”.
Early 2009, saw the 808s signing a 3 track record deal with Don Steele from Vinyl Pusher and shortly after they signed an album deal with Central Station Records/Universal Music.
The two are armed with infectious hooks and the versatility to produce all genres across the board from electro, house, pop, rnb, hiphop and rock. And that’s exactly what you will find in their upcoming album with strong catchy pop rock melodies complemented with sexy house basslines with a twist that rocks the floors wherever they are played.
On Stage they have a setup of a five piece band. The 808s will juggle between two turntables, three keyboards, electric guitar, bongos, talk box and vocoders. Definitely an electrifying performance every time with a mash up of their own remixes and originals.
With The 808’s reputation spreading like melted butter, it is no surprise that Sydney’s best Club “Home Night Club” signed The 808’s as exclusive residents in Sydney. Early August is the World Release of their hot new single “Sweet child of mine” with remixes from local and international Producers this is set to be a definite Chart Topper. For Bookings
