call it a truce

places i've lived:

-south dakota
-england
-new mexico
-texas
-california
-missouri

one of these days
when we run out of paper
because we've cut down all the trees on the planet
and the only shade is that offered by buildings previously built
and we are lost
and we are hungry
and we are tired
and we are almost out of oxygen
and we just wish we had a copy of the times
and there is nothing left...

there will be nothing left to do but laugh.
