About Me

I would like to quit my job and become a publicity agent. It sounds like a lot more fun than shipping things and invoicing things.

My Interests

I like other countries and talking to strangers, especially in other countries. Some of the nicest people that I've ever met have been strangers. I like music and plants a lot these days. I hope that lasts, it makes me sound like a great person. What're you interested in? Music and plants! Wow, you're cool! I read more than anything else really.

I'd like to meet:

somebody...well I have a hard time giving a good description......you see We've never really met. It's a bit fuzzy. I 'll let you know when we get together, I'm sure it'll be a blast. Maybe I'll write a book about it. Or sell the story to a publishing house on the condition that they hire my brother to write the actual book and then I'll go buy property and we'll party together(me and who I'd like to meet) in Ecuador on 15 dollars (maybe 30 dollars because there's two people...but maybe someday I'll meet me, then that'll still be one person...besides 15 dollars is enought to get 2 people lit in the right places) and it'll be all kinds of fun. I'll put the happy ending in the beginning. The epiloge as the prologue. Good thing I'm not the one writing the book itself though. The spell check'd go into overload.

Music:

I have been listening to a lot of bluegrass and Grateful Dead recently. I have seen Bob Wier and Ratdog, String Cheese Incident (first rave in a few years!), Les Claypool, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon...and my first concert was Anger Management here in Colorado a couple of years ago. getting the most out of my musical experiences. I have a picture of me with Michal Franti hidden somewhere .... How You Feelin! Hahaha

Movies:

Princess Bride hasn't been beaten yet. I might have been much more impressionable when first presented with the Princess Bride and that's my problem, I'm not as emotionally available to devote myself completely to another movie. Behaving in a way that is characteristically human I shall resist change and stick with the beliefs of my childhood (outdated though they might be): The Princess Bride is the greatest.

Television:

eww. you watch that trash? Film all the Olympic water polo games for me, that's all I want out of that dirty box. Pole vaulting too, that's pretty cool, I'd watch that especially if my sister Lindsay was the pole vaulter.

Books:

This Side of Paradise, F. Scott Fitzgerald The last light fades and drifts away, the low long land the sunny land of spires, the ghosts of evening tune again their lyres and wander singing in a plantive band down the long corriders of trees. O sleep that dreams and dream that never tires, press from the petals of the lotus flower something of this to keep, the essence of the hour. I feel almost bad leaving that up, it isn't perfect verbatim, I know I skipped some and.... I don't know if I'll ever do my profile again so that's what I've go off the top of my head.

Heroes:

Patty. Patricia. I won't put her whole name in, but she taught me a lot. The first thing she ever said when we met was that she didn't want to talk to me, a gringo. My Great Aunt or Cousin Kathy. We're related. I'd be prould of myself if I turned out like her. She's always been somebody I've felt lucky to be related to. Not many people get more interesting every single time you talk to them.

My Blog

Dark Ages

Almost the end of the Dark Ages.  Not quite the beginning of summer.  Limbo. Purgatory?  no, we know where we are going, the mere fact that we're going anywhere (into summer) means it's...

Big dogs

I have a big dog.  Some people say that having a big dog is like having a big truck, it says something about you.  I know a guy that has little dogs and a big huge yellow Hummer (big truck)....
