About Me

I'm a pretty cool gal that's into music, art, fashion, collecting vintage stuff, hanging out and usually up for anything. Folks say I'm young-at-heart and even the twenty-somethings think I'm pretty hip. I got good grades in school, so I guess that means I'm smart. My momma calls me her wanderer because I like to travel and I've lived in all the big cities (NY, LA,Chicago and now Austin). I got all cultured and wordly. But gosh dang it, I'm still just a beer swillin', rock-n-roll lover from Cleveland, Ohio. But that's enough about me, let's talk about you.

My Interests

Collecting vintage stuff, traveling, seeing live music, embroidery, hanging with friends over a couple of beers.

I'd like to meet:

Are we allowed to meet dead people? If so then: Jackie Kennedy, Elvis, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Warhol, Picasso, Hank Williams Sr. and Hank III--I'll skip junior, unless Hank III and I get serious. Some live folks: Jack Black and Jack White (I'm an equal opportunity fan of Jacks), Lou Reed, Bowie, Iggy Pop, Johnny Depp. And if people were the characters they play on TV, I'd love to hang with Cosmo Kramer and Pee Wee Herman. Oh, and John Doe...I can cross that off me list--here we are together!

Music:

All time favorites that I can think of at the moment: Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, The Stones, X, the "seven chinese sisters" REM album, The English Beat, The Ramones, James Brown.. Right now I'm listening to real bubble gum , electronic, up-beat stuff (a happy phase): The latest things I listen to over and over again: Tegan & Sara, Of Montreal, Sharon Jones, Spoon, The Rentals, Scissors for Lefty.

Movies:

Spinal Tap, American Beauty, Garden State, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Shop Girl, Leaving Las Vegas, Slackers and Elvis movies, which are best watched from the Day's Inn across from Graceland with the guitar shaped pool. Saw "Teeth" yesterday. For as dumb as it sounds it was freakin' great!

Television:

Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Project Runway and What Not to Wear.

Books:

Hemingway, Kerouac and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Suppose I should say something more contemporary, but I'm getting bored with David Sedaris's kin folk.

Heroes:

Agent 99, The Mod Squad and anyone else that can kick butt while wearing go-go boots.
