Dad was the quiet one- but always had insight on just about anything. he was so smart and intelligent. My favorite thing about dad was seeing him get excited about things- whether it was his latest project, a time with God at church, or Friday night wrestling and the simpsons! I'm going to miss calling him and asking about recipies- and the lunches we always had together. I'm going to miss seeing the love that he had for mom- his devotion to her was unending. In the hospital I told him that he needed to get up with mom so he could serve her tea :)Mom was a riot- in so many ways. She was always telling us about her most recent deal- if it was at a yard sale or deparetment store. Mom was so creative in everything- everything was homeade. I loved the garden- she was always doing something in the yard. I used to drive by and honk the horn at her. Mom was very thorough in everything she did and taught us to "do it right the first time." I'm proud to have gotten just a little of her work ethic. Mom was by my side 100% of the time when I was being treated for cancer. she did all of the hard work so I didn't have to. I'm thankful for cancer, b/c that brought us closer together.Ivan Russell Burger..... I miss you so much. There wasn't anything that Ivan wouldn't do. He always carried my bags inside when I came home from college. He did anything that anyone asked him to do- whether he wanted to or not. Whenever I hear the song Jump by Van Halen I think of him- he'd always try to jump up and touch his toes...... He was in love with a beautiful girl whom he gave the world to. I'm glad he experienced that. Thanks for all your support and prayers. It's gonna be a long road ahead, but we couldn't do it without you.
