About Me

provided by: www.bigoo.ws
Anubus is hip hop artist based out of Nashville TN. His unique style of beats and flow is what makes him who he is. He likes to describe his music like this : "It's jam band meets hip hop". Anubus writes, produces, mixes, and records all his own stuff. Often people say they have never heard hip hop put into that kind of music. His beats include all kinds of instruments: Flutes, Horns, Bongo's and Conga's, Organs, Tribal Instruments, and much more. Anubus, (aka Michael Rossi), actually grew up 10 miles outside of Nashville in a small town (Nolensville TN). His Dad, Joe Rossi was a music historian collecting over 10,000 vinyl. His brother Joey is a songwriter and guitar player. His sister Alexis (aka Lady Lex) also can spit some ill shit. Enriched in a history and family full of music, he was destined to be some kind of musician. He started playing guitar at the age of 15 and eventually started teaching himself how to play keyboard and midi synths. "Once my friend Ritt got his protools rig, i told him, it was on. So i've been working with protools for over 5 years". Anubus released his first album last year titled "Anubus: The Birth Of A Don". The feel good groove and good mix of instrumentals and vocals gives the album flavor and funk. From song titles like: Chilledoutgrooviness to Funky Drummer and more. His second album "Tim's Redemption is due out in summer of 08'. "It will have the same type of experimental gooviness but this album will be better i think. I use a lot more bass and i have gotten better lyrically since my first album. This will be the most personal album i've done." Anubus brings a fresh new style and talent to Nashville and the surrounding areas that people seem to really dig. His feel good rhymes and realism brings back a style of music that is often plagued by radio. Please check him out, you won't be dissapointed!

Sounds Like: My beats have a lot of flutes, bongo's, organs, and other stuff like that. I like to make my beats with a jam appeal to them. Basically, i just want people to enjoy and dance to my music. I geuss i kinda sound underground but with a twist. I put my heart into every song i do.
