His unique style is famous throughout Europe, Australia, Canada, Japan and South America where he has performed extensively. He is perhaps best known and most widely acclaimed as a teacher. His classes are composed primarily of students who themselves are professionals or teachers. Upon viewing one of JoJo's advanced classes, one cannot avoid being highly impressed with the dynamic ability he has communicating with his students, who are devoted to the learning and growth situation made available to them. A list of his students over the years is like a "who's who" in show business and includes such performers as Babara Streisand, Barbara Walters, Debbie Allen, John Travolta, Olivia Newton John, Phylicia Allen Rashad, Diane Von Furtenberg and Brooke Shields.... Just to name a few. JoJo was born in New York, but grew up in many places. His mother performed with the Katherine Dunham Company making his environment the theater. JoJo's first dance class training was with Miss Dunham at age 13. Since that time JoJo has gone on to display His versatility as a dancer, percussionist and choreographer in movies on Broadway in nightclubs and television.
