Since their conception in the spring of 2001 from a small town in Western MI, DURT has been quoted as being The Best Thing to Hit West Michigan since the Lumber Business by fans and club owners.Self described as Groove Nu-Metal; DURT is a composite of powerful guitar work, infectious grooves and an infusion of unforgettable hooks with musicianship and a stage presence to match.Founding members: Bassist Chris (Big Eazy) Bertram, Drummer Tim Russell and Guitarist Aaron Roberts, which have been in several local bands together over the past decade, got together and after writing a few songs, knew the chemistry was right for the making. It was now time for DURT to find a charismatic front man to match the trios distinctive groove. With several concluded auditions and no success, Big Eazy answered an ad from a local head shop for a Singer/Lyricist. Yancy auditioned and immediately the four of them knew the hunt was over. DURT was now complete!In the past four years, DURT has gone on to play many successful shows and they independently released their demos in 2001 and 2002 and now DURT has their own TV show!
