Hails! Welcome to the tower of Fatal Impact

About Me

CHECK IT OUT, DUDES AND DUDETTES!

We've got a temporary drummer for the next gigs since Lu left the band. The current drummer is Odd Arve "Nocturnal" Nicolaisen.
We will be playing in Hamar the fifth of september at the Exact 3K-finals, and we're going for teh win!=)
We have currently changed studio for the recording of our upcoming album, due to musical differences and different priorities between the producers and the band.
However, our thumbs up went to Top Room studio (Mayhem, Borknagar, Tristania, Turbonegro etc... I guess no further description is needed!
The sound is killer already, and we'll be laying down guitartracks next week (19).
The Juv Studio version of Beyond the Never will appear on our site soon, so stay tuned!
Older news:
EY! Fatal Impact has entered Juv studio to make a recording of "Beyond the never"
The song will arrive on our upcoming record, and in a couple of weeks we'll move in to Juv again for the whole package. We're not sure how much time it'll take, but it should be done around may/june sometime, we hope!
Tracklist (assorted):
-Beyond the never
-Another life
-Stone Cold Alive
-Lacerated eyes of faith
-Mother rat
-Cellar souls
-Gathering the dead (new killer version)
We'll probably put together yet another track for the album, but it's on the experimental/developing level. Maybe some fruity discofunk? Who knows..
Fuck off and have a rootbeer!=)

HOT NEWS
Lu "the Flu" has recorded drums for three songs for the PREPRODUCTION. By next week we will add bass and guitars to the tunes. There will be 8 tracks on the upcoming record, and here are some titles:
Beyond the never
Another Life
Stone cold alive
Lacerated eyes of faith
So... we're working on the preprod-shit now, and we'll enter the studio some time in February, probably! Fatal has changed directions in many ways. More intricate stuff, more goosebumps, more HEAVY shit and we've put a LOT more work into the songs than ever.
-Jorn CHECK IT OUT!! We decided to sign up for the "Deathmatch"-competition at Club Maiden in Oslo this fall. We got all the way to the final match, where we met four good bands. Unfortunately for them - we won the whole fucking thing! That means we can now enjoy 10 000 NOK (NOK means beermoney in norwegian). Thank you guys for woting for us!

NEWS:We will enter the studio around january/february 2008, so keep yourselves cumming until then!

The show at Vinjerock 2007 went great. Look at photos from the event in... photos!
Fatal Impact will appear on the mainstage of Vinjerock in August 2007 along with bands like Big Bang and Sivert Høyem from Madrugada! We'll make shure that the mountaintrolls of Jotunheimen will keep their horns up this summer!
WHO ARE WE?
Fatal Impact is a norwegian heavy metal act (one of few metal bands true to the old classic, but heavy as hell-style). The band basically had it's birth in 1995 by the current guitarist Per Anders Olsen (vocals and guitar back then), and the former drummer. The duo had the catchy name Power of Death, but was later changed to Fatal Impact when Freddy Alund (bass) joined the band by the millenium. After a year or two of writing songs and rehearsing - they recorded a demo called 'Damnation', which is out of print years ago and is extremely rare. The powertrio did some gigs around the country for some time, until Thor Brekken Gundersen (guitar) joined the band in early 2005 and Jorn Oyhus took responsability for the vocals the same year. The reason was that Per Anders wanted to focus on his guitarskills and let somebody else do the vocal part. Late 2005 and early this year the band did some gigs around the country, before the drummer left and Tom Arne Fossheim joined them after a very successful gig as a stand-in. (update: Tom Arne Fossheim has left the band because of his lack of time. Music is his work, and we understand that he is unable to also work hard with Fatal Impact)
In may 2006 we tried out a new drummer, Robert Heimdal - nephew of the mighty Arve Heimdal (Conception!).

From april and onwards - the band rehearsed heavily, wrote new material and recorded an album in the summer/easter of 06 in Space Valley Studio. I early february 2007 we went to Space Valley once again and recorded new songs which we felt represented the band better. This EP is called "Way of the witch" and is to days date the heaviest and most complete and pure expression we have released,( but with some distance - we are still not satisfied. Therefore we have written a new bunch of songs with a more heavy, more complex, more heartbreaking and headcrushing material - totally on another level. We have grown drastically as musician, performers and as a UNIT the last year, and we can't wait to record our new songs! There's reformed Fatal Impact on the doorstep, babies!
