Mesa Creek

About Me

Mesa Creek originally was formed as Harvest in the early '80s. Founding member Ron Johnson's daughter was moving back home after living in the San Fernando valley for FAR too long, so, since the band's lead singer, Joyce, was taking a summer break to record, sculpt, what have you (not much Joyce CAN'T do), Ron asked his daughter to sit in for the summer as she had extensive vocal training in school and had been singing since she was three. Ron's daughter, Heather, was excited about the challenge. A new type of gig looked DAMN fun. At that time quite a few members were not the same, but (and this is still disputed between them) Kevin was already playing with the band the night Heather first stepped in, and thankfully has given them a mean yet uber steady beat for 10 plus years. Donny came on board giving what was then Harvest a nice southern rock feel in his lead licks. Ron and Joyce then went on to form a rock band, Livewire (they wail, truly) and then the band re-tooled a bit, acquiring the name Mesa Creek. The last acquisition was Danny, Heather's younger brother, who simply shreds on bass. After many players have come in and out of Mesa Creek, it's now wearing a different name with the best combination of musicians and personalities you could get on the stage. Best band EVER. :)..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
